Surprised and Shocked

Today we had a little shocking surprise! About 11 this morning, Evan came to me with his little potty and looked at me with some great intent. I asked him if he had to go potty and his response was not only a yes, but he put the potty down and kept looking at me. This was all surprising because we haven't started going potty any other time than before bed! So what was I to do? I got down on my hands and knees, moved the potty to hard flooring, and took his little pants and diaper off. What do ya know, but the kid sat down, pushed, and out came pee! Not a whole bowl full, but it was an immediate response to what we were doing!! This gives me great hope. Maybe when I start the hard core training in a couple weeks (projected start date is Dec 28th) it won't be as challenging. And then again, today may have been a weird fluke...
